Guest speakers are our Chamber’s Board Members Caroline MacNicholas, anwaltsboutique RECHTSANWÄLTE in Zurich and Gerrit van Setten, VAN SETTEN, in Helsinki.

Caroline MacNicholas has 15 years of experience as an attorney in Switzerland. After admission to the Zurich Bar she worked in a number of commercial law firms specialising in commercial and trademark law. Ten years ago she founded her own law firm – anwaltsboutique RECHTSANWÄLTE (www.anwaltsboutique.ch). Caroline advises and litigates for her national and international clients mainly in the areas of commercial and corporate law, trademark law, labour law, inheritance law, debt collection and bankruptcy law.

Gerrit van Setten is a long-term practitioner in dispute resolution, contract law, cross-border projects and transactions. He was trained with the Frankfurt law firm Boesebeck, Barz & Partner (today Logan Hovells), then (1992 – 1995) worked in several Eastern European countries as counsel to the German Treuhandanstalt, EU, GTZ and USAID in the privatisation of state-owned enterprises where after he was partner of a major law firm in Helsinki until splitting off to practice as own VAN SETTEN law firm (www.vansetten.fi). Gerrit is admitted to the Finnish and the German Bar.
