After the official meeting we will have the pleasure to welcome Nicholas Pennanen Chief Executive Officer at Lidl Switzerland to talk about Lidl group and especially Finnish and Swiss Lidl. We end discussion with a roundtable.
We also have the pleasure to meet our new members Päivi Juujärvi from “Happy Olive” and Xenia Haab from „Nordic Whispers“. We will enjoy some tastings during the apéro.

– A Finnish chemist imports Early Harvest olive oil from Crete to Switzerland –
Happy Olive was founded in 2020 by a former olive farmer (a Finnish lady).
Our mission is to support the small-scale olive farmers of Crete by selling their best batches of their new harvest direct-to-consumer and thus significantly reduce their dependence on supermarkets and bulk buyers. This also benefits the customer, since the fresh olive oil reaches dinner tables within weeks of bottling throughout the year.
Our olive oils comes from app. 150 small producer families from the hills around the Village Tsivaras, Apokoronas region in the Western Crete, where olives have been cultivated and olive oil produced for thousands of years.
Early Harvest olive oil is rich with polyphenols. It has been realized only in recent years that polyphenols are responsible for the main health benefits of the olive oil.
